Nancy Lou Hicks

Nancy Lou Brannon Hicks, 77, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Nancy's life was filled with love and laughter, especially when surrounded by her family. Her nurturing and caring spirit extended to all those she loved, and her presence will be deeply missed by those who knew her. May she rest in peace, her spirit forever cherished and remembered.

Beyond her work and family, Nancy found solace in the simple pleasures of life. She had a green thumb and could often be found tending to her garden, bringing life and color to her surroundings. Her talents didn't stop at gardening; Nancy possessed a creative spark, showcased through her skill in sewing and painting, leaving behind pieces of art that will be cherished for generations.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lisa Lea Blaisdell and Phil of KY, Lynn Harper and Neal of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Hannah Berry and Wayne, Kathleen Stokes and Ray, Chris Blaisdell and Savannah, Brooke Blaisdell, Brandi Harper, Kassi Frank and James, Jackie Clark; fourteen great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Verby D. Hicks; Infant Daughter; daughter, Martha Hicks; son, Danny Hicks; parents, Elmer and Hannah Brannon; brothers, Joey Brannon, Jimmie Brannon; father-in-law, VL Hicks; mother-in-law, Ruby Hicks.

Per Nancy’s request her ashes will be spread in a private family service.
