Myrtie Naomi Anderson Glass

Naomi A. Glass, 95, of DeRidder, LA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family Thursday, January 19, 2023.

Born, Myrtie Naomi Anderson, she began her life with her twin brother, Homer Anderson, on January 2, 1928. Naomi was 11 of 12 children, of which she eventually came known as “Sis” to family and friends.

After receiving her diploma from DeRidder High School, Naomi started her career at First National Bank of DeRidder as a teller at the young age of 16 in 1946 and ended her affiliation at the bank in 2013 as a Board Member.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Novy Glass of DeRidder, LA; granddaughter, Meredith Glass Lee and husband, Drew Lee of Houston, TX and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Naomi was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Medford L. Glass, who was surely waiting for her at the gates of Heaven.

The family gives sincere thanks to her caregivers, Shelia Levant and Faye Peters for the outstanding care and attention they gave during their time with Naomi.

A graveside service and burial will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 27, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. Pastor George Lee Glass will officiate the service.
