Michael Leon Foster

1SG Michael Leon Foster, 64, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, December 21, 2019.

He was a 1975 graduate of Capitol Senior High School in Baton Rouge, LA.  Upon completion of high school, he joined the United States Army, where he faithfully served 22 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 26 years, Barbara Ann McGlothen Foster of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Brandi Pichon of Buena Park, CA; sons, Derek T. Browden of Leesville, Adrian J. Jackson  (Priscilla) of Manvel, TX; mother, Ellouise Morris Foster of Baton Rouge, LA; brothers, Marvin Foster of Baton Rouge, LA, Shakur Shabazz of Atlanta, GA; sister, Irish F. Hives (Marcus) of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Steven Hall, Destiny Browden, Axoriah Dornes, Aiden Jackson, Alyza Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Leon Foster, Jr.; grandparents, Dave and Mary Lee Morris, Mary August, Henry Foster, Sr. and Eloise Foster.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Jasper Newsome will officiate the service.  Inurnment will follow at Central Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery in Leesville, LA.
