Maye Luene Keel

Maye Luene Keel, 88, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years Truman Keel; sons, Delbert Keel & wife Kathryn and Randall Keel & wife Angela; sisters, Henrietta Hull, Leundia Beard and Linda Jeans; brothers Larry Carroll and Leslie Carroll; grandchildren, Sherry Mathews & husband Jerry, Lisa Book, Bryant Keel & wife Kandi and Chad Keel; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Luene was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved and adored her husband, children and grandchildren. Luene was a charter member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church.  She worked for 30 years for the Beauregard Nursing Home and later retired from there.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5:00-9:00 pm at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10:00 am also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Elder Jeff Mosley and Elder John P. Young. Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
