Maxine Murphy Cammenga

Maxine Murphy Cammenga, 98, of Rosepine, LA, passed from this life on Friday, January 7, 2022.

Maxine retired after nearly thirty years of civil service work as a librarian on Fort Polk. She loved music and loved singing in her church home at Rosepine United Pentecostal Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her nieces, Sherry Westbury and Phil of Hartwell, GA, Susan Ward and Ron of Dalton, GA, special friend, Debbie Gosnell and Charles of Rosepine, LA and a host of great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Murphy; brothers, Lawrence Murphy, Merle Murphy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Graveside Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA. Pastor Gary Bankson will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.  Burial will follow at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Maxine’s name to the Rosepine UPC Building Fund and mailed to P.O. Box 388, Rosepine, LA, 70659.
