Maurita Gail Brown Wallace, 66, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving fiancé, Phil Sherman of DeRidder, LA; sons, Jerry Gardner and Jessica of Lufkin, TX, Robert Gardner and Jennifer of Lufkin, TX, Michael Gardner of Lagrangeville, NY, Kyle E. Sherman and Heather of Leesville, LA; father, Leroy Brown of Kansas City, KS; brothers, Larry Brown and Sally of Kansas City, KS, Calvin Brown and Sue of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Bryan, Ashlie, Brandon, Mathew, Nicholas, Haley, Evageline, Christian, Emmalena, Dean, Jordan; great grandchildren, Wesley, Scarlett, Haygen, Bryson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hattie Brown.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. A private burial will be held at a later date.
