Matthew A. Lee, Sr.

Matthew A. Lee, 79, was born on November 4, 1932 in Moreauville, Louisiana to Edward and Mary Lee.

Those left to cherish his memory are sons, Nathaniel Lee and wife Linda of New Orleans, Louisiana, Ruben Lee and wife Sharon of DeRidder, Louisiana, Matthew Lee Jr. and wife Lesila of DeRidder, Louisiana, Charles Lee of San Diego, California and Alan Lee and wife Charlotte of Jersey City, New Jersey; daughter, Edith Marie Lee Harty of Christiansted, Saint Croix, Virgin Islands; six brothers, Ervin Lee of DeRidder, Louisiana, Edward Lee of Kansas City, Missouri, Norward, Spelma, and Murray Lee all of Mansura, Louisiana; two sisters, Dorothy Oliver of Chicago, Illinois and Velma Amos of Ohio.  He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and too many friends to mention.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Elouise Lee, son, Hal B. Lee, brothers, Joseph Lee and Cleo Lee and grandson, Rohmond Lee.

Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in DeRidder, Louisiana, beginning at 9:00am until time of service.  A Rosary will be held on Friday, May 25, 2012 at  11:30 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with funeral services following at 12:00pm noon.  Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder.  Father Jude Brunnert will officiate.
