Mary Young Hamilton

Mary DeQuita Funderburk Young Hamilton, 84, of Oakland, TN, passed from this life on Saturday, October 8, 2022.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Clement Hamilton of Oakland, TN; sons, William Gary Young and Chasity, Patrick L. Young and June, all of Junction, LA, William Lewis Meaux of Savage Forks, LA, David Hamilton and Zandra of Memphis, TN; daughter, Margarita Franks and Scott of Memphis, TN; brother, McArthur “Buddy” Funderburk and Jerry of Alabaster, AL; sisters, Emma Jane Roberts, Julie Glaze and Alvin, both of Leesville, LA;  numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Maudie Bell Funderburk; husbands, W. B. Young, Jr. and Jesse Smith; sisters, Perla Faye Robinson, Haralynn Cox; brother, Quitman Lee Funderburk; half-sisters, Bonnie Woods, Ima Lea Hathorn; half-brother, Vyron Funderburk.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Trout Creek Pentecostal Church in Merryville, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 14, 2022, also at Trout Creek Pentecostal Church. Brother Rodney Boyer will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Gary Young, Patrick Young, Bill Glaze, Bobby Singletary, Marvin Gardunio, Brandon Gardunio. Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
