Mary Springer

Mary Springer, 76, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Monday, August 19, 2019.

Mary enjoyed doing needlepoint, crafting and loved to travel places. She very much loved to go fishing, but she really enjoyed when she could catch them.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Colin Springer of Merryville, LA; daughter, Colinda Love and Fiance’ Scott Brooks of Burkville, TX; sisters, Anitta Roshto and Wendy Dean, both of Natchitoches, LA; grandson, Garret Love and Annalicia of Vidor, TX; granddaughter, Taylor Springer of Keota, OK; three great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, family and friends.

The family would like to say thank you to the nursing staff at Beauregard Memorial Hospital, the 8th Floor staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and the Volunteer Fire Department in Burkville, TX. Thank you all so very much for the kindness shown, the attention given and dedicated service to taking care of Mary. It is greatly appreciated.

She was preceded in death by her son, Travis Springer; parents, Mitchell and Alice Roshto; infant brother; and sister, Betty Sue Heck; and son-in-law, Jerry Love.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM, with the Rosary reading at 6:00 PM by Father Jude Brunnert, M.S., at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 23, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Natchitoches, LA.  Father Sklar will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be Scott Brooks, Howell Wright, Kenneth Brackin, Garret Love, Jonathan Dean and Joshua Dean. Burial will follow at Trichel Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA.
