Marvin Francis Bolton, Jr.

Marvin Francis Bolton, Jr., 39, of DeRidder, LA was called home on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Marvin was born July 2, 1983 at home to the late, Marvin Bolton, Sr. and JoAnn Bolton. He began his education in DeRidder schools and graduated from DeRidder High School in 2002. He enlisted in the Louisiana National Guard and immediately went to basic training. During his time in the service, he served one tour in Iraq. Marvin was able to travel throughout his military career. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, JoAnn Bolton; sister, Sachincko N. Bolton; brother, John Bolton; niece, Angel Bolton; nephew, Travor Bolton; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Bolton, Sr.; niece, Shonta Bolton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at New Hope CME Church, 810 Ollie St., Deridder, LA. Pastor Patrick D. Lewis will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Lionell Slaydon, Landrus Bellard, Carlos Puckett, Patrick Hardin, Quincy Major, Travis Bolton, Christopher Bolton, Sol Bolton, Sr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ravis Bolton, New Hope CME Stewards, US National Guard. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
