Marvin Elvin Swain, 79, passed from this life on February 21, 2014 in Texas.

He is survived by his children, Christine Hall & Husband Ray of Garland, TX, Keith Swain of Bloomsdale, MO, Nathan Swain & Wife Sandra of Garland, TX, Deborah Sue Davis & Husband Clint of Royse City, TX, Sandra Swain of St. Genevieve, MO, Stephen Swain & Wife Susan of Amarillo, TX. Sister, Faye Paolino & Husband Victor of Shelton, Washington; and 12 Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Effie and Chester Swain and Wendell Swain and nephew, David Swain.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA and will resume at 9:00am, Monday, February 24, 2014 until time of service at 2:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Burial will follow at the Holly Springs Cemetery in Leesville, LA.

Mr. Swain was born October 27, 1934. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in 1953, with the US Navy. He ran a successful contracting business in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area. He will truly be missed by all.
