Marvin Bolton, Sr.

Marvin Bolton, Sr., 54, of DeRidder, Louisiana passed from this life on Wednesday, December 19, 2012.  Mr. Bolton was retired from the U.S. Army.  He was an infantry soldier and was very devoted to the U.S. Army.  Marvin was also a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, JoAnn Bolton; sons, Marvin Bolton Jr. and John Amos Bolton; daughter, Sachincko Bolton all of DeRidder, brothers, Sol Bolton Sr. and wife Valetta of Atlanta, GA and Ravis Bolton of Lake Charles, LA; sisters, Eartha Simon, Emma Malachi and Sachinko Hickman all of DeRidder; 2 grandchildren, Travon Bolton and Angel Bolton.  He was preceded in death by his parents, SFC Amos and Annie Bolton, brothers, Ahmos Zu Bolton II, James Edward Bolton and Terry Lee Bolton; sisters, Juanita Major and Kathleen Grant; one grandchild, Shonta Bolton.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at New Hope CME Church, 810 Ollie St. in DeRidder, LA from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope CME Church on Friday, December 28, 2012.  Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.  Rev. Beulah Evans will officiate.
