Marilyn Ann Rollins Evans

Marilyn Ann Rollins Evans, born in Hawthorne, LA on May 7, 1950, will be dearly missed by her family. She passed away on November 22, 2024, in DeRidder, LA at the age of 74. Marilyn was known for her playful and joking nature, her sharp mind that always had a book in hand, and her exceptional skills in crocheting, knitting, and embroidery.

Despite claiming annoyance by Dryanee's cats, it was no secret that she held a soft spot for them. In addition, Marilyn was crazy about her baby boy DeMario, showing immense love and care for him throughout the years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Donnell Evans of Houston, TX, Devon Evans of Chico, CA, DeMario Evans of DeRidder, LA, Phaedra Dryanee Evans of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Kenny Evans and Doris, Troy Evans and Bonnie, Dean Evans, Paul Evans and Debra, all of CA; sisters, Thelma Sanders of CA, Gwen McNeely and Wilfred of CA, Debra Evans Kelly of CA, Crystalynn Evans of Houston, TX; eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. 

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Willie Ray Evans; father, Lawrence Ford, mother, Mohnia Evans. 

Friends and family are invited to join in remembering and celebrating Marilyn's life at the Funeral Service, which will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA on December 7, 2024, at 11:00 am. A Public Viewing will be held prior to the service at 9:00 am. Pastor Paul Anthony Evans will officiate the service. Let us come together to honor the memory of Marilyn Ann Evans and pay our respects to a beloved individual.
