Marie Keel

Marie Keel, 90, of DeRidder, Louisiana, passed from this life on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Rosepine Retirement and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Keel was a loving mother and grandmother and she loved to quilt.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Kay Foshee and husband Billy of DeRidder, Louisiana and Gail Cooper and husband Winston of Rosepine, Louisiana.  She is survived by 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey Keel and 2 sons, John Charles Keel and D.A. Keel Jr.

Visitation was on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana.  Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 2:00pm Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  Burial followed at Old Cypress Cemetery in DeRidder. Brother George Lee Glass and Brother Jimmy Glass officiated.
