Margaret Mary Powers, 84, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, June 24, 2022.

Margaret M. Negus Powers was born in Manchester, England on December 23, 1937. Margaret was born to the late William H. Negus of Chirk, Wales and Mary Jones Negus of Tanygrisiau Wales. William H. Negus born in Manchester, England also to William and Mary Negus.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy R. Powers; grandson, Scott G. Cooley; parents, William H. and Mary Jones Negus, brother, William H. Negus.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, David M. Powers & Tammy of DeRidder, LA and Kathryn P. Cooley & Jarvis of Singer, LA; grandchildren, M. Ryan Cooley and wife Erin of Singer, LA, H. Erin Cooley of Singer, LA, Sammy R. Powers of Washington, Brandon K. Powers of Boyce LA, David M. Powers, Jr., of Bronson, FL, Anna Mae Clark & Rickey of Merryville and Aron B. Genter and Daniel of CA: fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A Memorial will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Graveside service will be held at a later date.
