Margaret Krasso

August 26, 1932 - April 13, 2014

Margaret Krasso, of Merryville, LA, went to be with her heavenly father on April 13, 2014 at the age of 81.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard Krasso, by her parents, R.O. and Ella Lewis, 3 brothers and 1 sister.  She is survived by her son, Bill Krasso of Bellville, Nebraska; daughters, Beth Cuevas and husband Paul of Merryville, LA, and Karen Vaughan and husband Barron of Dale, TX.  She has 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Krasso was a member of Merryville First Baptist Church, a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a lifetime member of Priscilla Chapter in Merryville.  She worked as a bookkeeper, tax preparer, and a notary public for 60 years.  She held the office of Mayor of Merryville for one term.  She stayed civically active her entire life.  She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 10:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Merryville Cemetery in Merryville, LA.  Bro. Lyndon Longoria will officiate.
