Lucille Jean Harrison

d. October 28, 2020

Lucille Jean Carthan Harrison, 80, of DeRidder, LA, fell asleep in death on October 28, 2020.

Lucille spent her early years in Los Angeles, California where she baptized on June 15, 1960 at the Peace Pursuing District Assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She briefly lived in Arkansas before returning home to DeRidder to rear her children with family and friends. She had a strong love for Jehovah and faith in his future kingdom promises. For many years she enjoyed attending conventions with her children along with many grandchildren.

In her early years, she studied and trained in her lifelong profession as a tailor. She used those skills to design and alter garments for businesses and private clients throughout Louisiana, Texas, and California. Lucille also worked as a teacher assistant for the Beauregard Parish School District at Pinewood Elementary School and also worked at the Beauregard Memorial Hospital in the Janitorial Services Department.

Over the years, her many hobbies included making jewelry, cooking, canning and gardening.

Anyone who knew Lucille knows that she was a very vibrant, kind and caring woman who was always willing to help by giving of her time and the use of her resources whenever there was a need. She will be missed dearly, but we look forward to seeing her during the promised resurrection. (Acts 24:15)
