Lois Mildred Marze Mayo 92, of Fredericksburg, Texas (formerly of Liberty, Texas) passed from this life on Monday, November 1, 2010 in Fredericksburg, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church in Merryville, Louisiana. Elder G. L. Read will officiate. Pall Bearers will be Alex Rios, Jason Brumley, Stuart Beaseley, Tyler Beaseley, Glen Mayo & Mike Mayo. Interment will follow at Cooper Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana.

Mrs. Mayo is survived by Son: Curtis Mayo & wife Donna of Fredericksburg, TX; Daughter: Wanda Faulkner of Houston, TX; Son-In-Law: Ronnie Shepherd of Alvin, TX; 2 Grandsons: Glen & wife Shannon Mayo of Corpus Christi, TX, Mike & wife Lily Mayo of Kerrville, TX; 4 Granddaughters: Shala Shepherd & husband Alex Rios of Alvin, TX, Alissa Shephard Roberson of Alvin, TX, Donna Faulkner & husband Steward Beaseley of Baytown, TX, Lacey Faulkner & husband Jason Brumley of Baytown, TX; 6 Great Grandchildren: Nicholas Borglum Mayo, Samantha Robin Mayo, Chyna & Michael Rios, Jade & Paul Roberson, Tyler Christian Beaseley & Seth Reid Brumley.

Preceded in death by Husband - Joseph David Mayo, Jr.; Parents - Kennie & Stella Marze; Daughter - Vivian Marie Mayo Shepherd; Brother - Horace Ray Marze; Sister - Irene Hammond.

Mrs. Mayo was born in Merryville on June 4, 1918 and attended Merryville High School. She was a talented seamstress & entered handwriting and seamstress competitions at the Beauregard Parish Fair. She was a compassionate & caring wife for  64 years and a loving mother.
