Lloyd Thomas Nash, 75 years of age, of Crosby, Texas died April 26, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Baytown, Texas. He was born March 24, 1937 in Longstreet, Louisiana. He grew up in the Junction community in Beauregard Parish and graduated from Merryville High School. He was employed by Houston Belt and Terminal Railroad Company for 43 years. He distinguished himself by becoming Houston Belt and Terminal Yardmaster, Local Chairman, and General Chairman of the United Transportation Union. Lloyd was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by two children, Tambra Lynn Nash Perkins, son-in-law, Charles Perkins of Clear Lake Shores, Texas and Acey Thomas Nash of Manville,Texas. He has three brothers, Leslie Nash of Huntsville, Texas, Robert F. Nash of Chappell Hill, Texas, and Kenneth Nash of Jacksonville, Florida. He has one grandson, Wade Mitchell Perkins. Lloyd was preceded in death by parents, Acie Thomas Nash and Velma Fancher Nash and sister, June Nash Jenkins.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 30, 2012 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 10am to noon, followed by services at 1pm with burial at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, Louisiana.
