Lloyd Lamar (Buddy) Wildblood, 80, passed from this life on Friday, July 13, 2012 at his home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Lloyd was a four year letterman at Merryville High School in football, basketball and track. He earned a two year scholarship for football at McNeese State University. He was a fabrication shop foreman at PPG Industries in Lake Charles for 20 years and was a welder for Boise Cascade in DeRidder for 20 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Jeanienne Stark Wildblood; son, Lloyd L. Wildblood II and wife Patrice of DeRidder, Louisiana; daughters, Debbie Wildblood Kelley and husband Jimmy of DeRidder, Louisiana and Pam Wildblood Fontenot and husband Bob of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana from 1:00pm till 9:00pm and on Monday, July 16, 2012, beginning at 10:00am until time of service. Funeral service will be on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 2:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Quicksand Cemetery in Buckhorn, TX (Newton County). Bro. Johnny Johnson and Bro. Wayne Kite will officiate. Pallbearers will be his 6 grandsons.
