Lien Thi Ohsner

d. January 16, 2017

Lien Thi Ohsner, 69, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on January 16. 2017.

Mrs. Ohsner was a very devoted wife and mother. She was a hard worker who enjoyed life.  She loved to go shrimping and fishing and just be outdoors.  She also loved to cook, especially fried rice and eggrolls.  She was a “straight shooter” and never pulled any punches.  If she liked you, you knew it, and likewise, the opposite…  If you met her, you never forgot her; she had an impact on every life she touched.  She truly treasured her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all her family.  To our beloved Momma and MawMaw, your memory will forever be in our minds and hearts.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of over 49 years, George Ohsner, Sr.; her sons, Bobby Ohsner and Insuk of Lexington Park, MD and George Ohsner, Jr. of DeRidder, LA; her daughters, Maggie McKee and Glenon of Rosepine, LA; and Linda Yancey and Shirley of DeRidder, LA; one sister; her ten grandchildren:  Brenda Ohsner, Angela Ohsner,  Eric Ohsner (Audrie), Jeannie Thompson (Tyler), Charlie Yancey, Alex Yancey, Katie Yancey, Jacob McKee (Courtney), Nathan McKee (Katelynn), and Gabriel McKee; five great grandchildren: Samuel Ohsner, Brantley Yancey, Elijah McKee, Averi McKee, and Nora McKee; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Van Doan Nguyen and one brother.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home, in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeRidder, with a visitation starting at 9:00 AM prior to the service.  Pallbearers will be Jacob McKee, Nathan McKee, Eric Ohsner, Tyler Thompson, Alex Yancey, Joey Wonner, Charlie Yancey and Gabriel McKee.  Burial will follow at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.
