Lela Perkins

June 24, 1934 - March 15, 2015

Lela Perkins, 80, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, March 15, 2015.  Those left to cherish her memory are her daugher, Donna McConathy and husband Seth J. Jr.; twin sister, Zela "Pete" Jordan and husband Carl of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, James E. Perkins III, Grady John Perkins, Levi Everrett, Stephen J. McConathy, and Travis J. McConathy.  She was preceded in death by her sons, John S. Perkins V, and James E. Perkins, Jr.; brother, Aubrey Gill, and sister, Iva Faye "Susie" Ashworth.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Smyrna Baptist Church in Sugartown, LA, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.  Funeral service is Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 11:00am at Smyrna Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery.  Rev. Frank Ott will officiate.
