Lee Edward Townson

Lee Edward Townson, 85, of Grant, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, January 17, 2019.

Lee served in the Marines from 1952 – 1955. He loved to watch football, especially when it was his favorite team LSU, and would catch up on the old western movies.  He enjoyed spending his most precious time with his kids and his family. He loved the time when he was hunting and fishing.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Nancy Townson of Grant, LA; sons, Gary and Susan Townson of Grant, LA and James Reginald Townson and Kristie Walker both of Grant, LA; daughters, Aleta Wynelle Reeves and Sam of Grant, LA and Sabrena Burnett and Barry also of Grant, LA; grandchildren, Amanda Jo, Julie, Natalie, Lindsey, Morgan, Sydney, Randall, Travis and Taylor; great grandchildren, Gunner, Trendon, Lillian, Nova Lee, Reid, Rowen, Thomas, Gracie and Eden and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mary Agnes Townson

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 4:00 – 10:00 PM and on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 10:00 – till time of funeral at 2:00PM at Palestine Baptist Church in Grant, LA.  Brother Hardy Estes will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be James Townson, Gary Townson, Roy Prewitt, Scoot Gordon, Tully Stout and David Earl.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Randall Burnitt, Travis Townson and Gunner Seal and all those that would like to follow in the procession is very more than welcome to do so. Burial will follow at Hamilton Cemetery in Grant, LA.
