Laura Mae Rider Henderson

Laura Mae Rider Henderson, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on February 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 9, 1937, in Basile, Louisiana, to Adam and Hattie LeDoux Rider. Laura lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her family and friends.

Laura is survived by; Tracy Barnes of DeRidder, LA., Dawn Gadapee of DeRidder, LA., Alfred Gadapee IV and wife Ashley of DeRidder, LA., and a host of grandchildren. 

Laura was preceded in death by; her parents, and her beloved husband; Kenneth Darryll Henderson, 

A Mass in her honor will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on February 28, 2025, at 12:00 PM, Father LeBleu will be officiating. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Laura's life and the love she shared with all. After the Mass, a Christian burial will take place in Beauregard Cemetery.

Laura's warmth and kindness touched many lives, and her legacy will be cherished for generations. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.

Cremation has entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home.
