Infant Lainey Jayne Stepp was born with her Angel Wings on Thursday, January 09, 2025, at 11:13AM to parents Andrew and Kaitlyn Stepp at Lake Charles Memorial Women’s Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Sweet baby girl weighed 5 pounds, 6 ounces, 18 inches long, and with a beautiful head of dark hair. 

 Although we were unable to hear your first cries and comfort you, we will always have 35 wonderful weeks of cherishing your little kicks and hearing your sweet heartbeat. The time we shared will never be long enough for us, but we will see you again baby girl. Heaven’s gain is our loss for a soul to beautiful for this World. 

She is being embraced tightly in Heaven by her maternal great- grandparents, Donna Reed, Jackie Ray Waldrop, Kathleen Cates, and Charlie Bennett; paternal great- grandparents, Mary and Charles Brown, also, Norma Stepp; maternal great great-grandparents, Mattie Marie Adams, also, Etta and Illey Mercer.

Sweet Lainey Jayne is survived by loving parents, Andrew and Kaitlyn Stepp; along with her three sisters, Charlee, Olivia, and Emma Grace Stepp; grandparents, Jackie and Marcus Westcott, also, Cynthia and Kerry Stepp; aunt and uncles, Taylor Haley, William Westcott, and Gunner Stepp; great great- grandmother, Phyllis Clark. She is also loved by many great aunts and uncles, cousins, and a very large rodeo family. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of DeRidder, with Brother Danny Wilson officiating at 12:00PM. A short visitation will be held before the service starting at 11:00AM in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of DeRidder. Interment will immediately follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask for donations to be made to a cause dear to them. The Stepp Family members are part of the DeRidder Riding Club. An amazing group that prides itself on training future rodeo champions. No matter the age or experience level there is a place for everyone.
