Kenneth Neal Petrey

Kenneth Neal Petrey, 84, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

Kenneth was retired from the United Stated Army, serving his country during the Korean conflict and was a purple heart recipient.  He was also retired from Citco, where he worked as a machinist.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Hannelore Petrey of DeRidder, LA; son, Jack Petrey of Middleburg, FL; daughter-in-law, Marie Petrey of Middleburg, FL; daughters, Sandra Massingill of Texas City, TX and Shonia Jones of DeRidder, LA; sister, Virginia Bundy of Corbin, KY; grandchildren, Mistle Petrey, Savanna Petrey, Zachary Petrey, Shai Williamson; and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Arlie and Margarette Petrey; brothers, James and Jack Petrey; sisters, Ardis Petrey and Andean Smith.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, November 20, 2017, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Whitaker Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
