Katie Ruth Bennett Harper, 84 years old, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday April 06, 2025, in DeRidder, LA. She was born on April 12, 1940, in Junction, Louisiana, to Harold and Ethel Powers Bennett.

Katie was a woman of resilience and grace, who had a heart of gold. She approached life with a compassionate heart, always willing to lend a hand to those in need, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three daughters: Donna Coker of DeRidder, LA., Dana Cryer of DeRidder, LA., and bonus daughter Rhonda Isbell and husband Delbert of Merryville, LA. Two bonus children: Dana Hebert and husband Kyle of Lake Charles, LA.,, Jeffrey Harper and wife Bridget of Lake Charles, LA. Five grandchildren: Allen Isbell, Mark Mitchell, Daniel Isbell, Katie Mallett, Tomi Maddox. Five Bonus Grandchildren, Eleven Great-Grandchildren, Six Bonus Great-Grandchildren, and two Great-Great grandchildren.

Katie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Arthur Harper, and two sisters: Melva Jackson, and Judy Kelly.

A funeral service will be held in the Myers Colonial Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday April 09, 2025, at 11:00am, with Bro. Delbert Isbell officiating. Burial will follow the service in Cooper Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 08, 2025, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Wednesday April 9, 2025, from 10:00am to 11:00am.

Pallbearers will be; Norris Hensley, Preston Isbell, Tyler Isbell, Nick Mitchell, Jordan Mallett I, Jordan Mallett II, and Michael Maddox.
