Katherine Laverne Skinner, 60, of Mittie, LA, passed from this life on Friday, September 6, 2013 in Boyce, LA.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jermey Darce and wife Rhonda of Mittie, LA and Roy Greer of Shepherd, TX; daughters, Larrie Greer and husband Doug of Shepherd, TX, and Magon Doyle of Shepherd, TX; brothers, Joey Darce and wife Eva of Dry Creek, LA, and Andy Martin and wife Karen of Bundick, LA; sisters, Mitzi Gormanous and husband David of DeRidder, LA, Emily Fontenot of Hineston, LA, Shelly Fuselier and husband Paul of Bundick, LA, Ruthie Singleton and husband Penny of Mittie, LA and Theresa Darce of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Katelynn, Carley and Tia Darce of Mittie, LA; Cheyenne Clark of Shepherd, TX and Jeanie Jenkins and Lil Doug Champagne of Shepherd, TX.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Darce; father, Alphonse (Bud) Darce; brother, Phil Darce and sister, Donna Laird.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 5:00pm until time of service on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 10:00am at Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Mittie, LA.  Burial will follow at Simmons Cemetery in Mittie, LA.  Rev. J.R. Dowden and Bro. Ron Butler will officiate.
