It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Judith Marqueen Albrecht Bailey, affectionately known as Judi, who left us on January 19, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on August 27, 1953, in Winslow, Pennsylvania. Judi made her home in DeRidder, Louisiana, where she touched the lives of so many.
Judi was a true gem-never met a stranger, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. She had a heart of gold, and her generosity knew no bounds. Whether it was with her incredible arts and crafts or cozy crocheting, she brought warmth and creativity into everything she did. For many years, she delighted locals as the owner of Bailey's Cafe, where her cooking skills were celebrated far and wide. She also lent her talents to the family business, Bailey's Plumbing, managing operations with dedication and charm.
Above all, Judi cherished her family and found her greatest joy in raising her children and grandchildren. Her love and light will continue to shine through the countless lives she impacted.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of forty-four years Barney Lee Bailey of DeRidder, LA; sons, Greg Bailey of Crestview, FL; Travis Bailey and Kelly of Crestview, FL, Ricky Pitre and Stella of DeRidder, LA, David Pitre Jr. of DeRidder, LA, Justin Bailey of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Jaime Albrecht and Lois of Madison, WI, August Fabiano and Charee of Franklinton, LA, Kim Fabiano and Penny of Walker, LA; grandchildren, Angela, Tonya, Brittany, Corey, Mandy, Jessie, Shyanne, Michael, Dustin, David III, Jessica and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Janis Mae, James Allen Albercht; sister, Pam Bailey and her husband, Tommy Bailey.
We invite all who knew and loved Judi to come together to honor her remarkable spirit.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Buddy Freeman will officiate the service. The Pallbearers will be Scott Moak, Phillip McCollough, Cory Perkins, Michael Perez, Van Fletcher, Joby Garner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bailey and Zeke Sanders. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
