Juanita Alston Peavy

Juanita Alston Peavy, 97, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on May 15, 2022.

Juanita was born in DeQuincy, LA and lived in DeRidder most of her life. She attended the Grace Church of DeRidder, LA and was a former member of the First Pentecostal Church of DeRidder, LA.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Louis E (Jack) Peavy and Karen of DeRidder, LA and Kenneth Peavy and Joanie of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Kurt Allen Peavy of Houston, TX, Michael Brent Peavy of Dallas TX; and Allison Paige Zuber of Baton Rouge, LA; great grandson, Austin Peavy of Austin, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Peavy; parents, Desmoine and Blanche Glass Alston; brother, Desmoine Alston, Jr., and sister, Betty June Cagle.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 9:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home, until the time of funeral service at 11:00 AM, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother George Lee Glass will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
