Joyce Marie Davis

Joyce Marie Maxie Davis, 65, of Hornbeck, LA, passed from this life on Friday, June 3, 2022.

Joyce loved family. She was a very proud mother and grandmother and cherished the time they spent together. She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Larry Erwin and special friend, Sandy Gilliam of Hornbeck, LA; daughter, Anglette “Angie” Erwin and fiancé, Jason Sparks of Hornbeck, LA; brother, Leroy Maxie and Carol of Pineville, LA; sister, Mary L. Sharp of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Sean & fiancé, Breanna, Rylea, Memarie, Jewel and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Davis; parents, Clarence A. Maxie and Vera Doyle Maxie; brothers, C.W. Maxie, Jerry Maxie, Raymond “Bones” Maxie; niece, Tara Sharp; great nephew, Terry Tolar; brother-in-law, Johnny Sharp.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022. Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at Hornbeck Optimist Club in Hornbeck, LA.  Benjamin Shaw will officiate the service.
