Joyce Abbott Pruitt

Joyce Abbott Pruitt, 86, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at her home.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Harold “Johnny” Pruitt and wife Linda of Creole, LA; daughters, Mary Fontenot and husband Horace of Hemphill, TX, Diana Erwin and husband Douglas of Merryville, LA, and Sandra Ezernack of Merryville, LA; sisters, Margie McDaniel of Duncanville, TX, and Jackie Martin and husband Art of Massachusetts; grandchildren, Daniel Pruitt, Tim Pruitt, Clint Fontenot, Mike Fontenot, Jessica Fritzenschaft, Jeremy Erwin, and Brant Barclay; and 20 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Pruitt.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 10:00 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Whitaker Cemetery in DeRidder.
