Joy Marie Ethridge Richard, 78, of Sulphur, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, January 21, 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Roger Richard and Teresa of Sulphur, LA; daughters, Dianna Piper of Sulphur, LA, Debbie Nolan and George of Deweyville, TX; brothers, Ray Ethridge and Krystal of Lake Jackson, TX, Ronald Ethridge of Livingston, TX, Donald Ethridge of TX; sister, Rebecca Howard of Livingston, TX;  grandchildren, Logan, Lauren, Courtney, Patsy, Josh David, Joshua Jacob, Melanie and Andrea; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Delbert Richard; parents, Charles and Margorie Ethridge; brother, Lloyd Ethridge.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Reverend Gary Bankson, Pastor Jeffrey Ralston and Brother John Fortenberry will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Logan Richard, Orlando Manuel, Josh Jacob Nolan, Josh Askari, Chris Bankson and Ryan Goebel. Burial will follow at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.
