Joseph Eugene Pittman

Joseph Eugene Pittman, 79, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.

“Joe P” was a collector of antiques, followed politics, loved to travel and enjoyed sports that included fishing. He also cherished the 4 cruises he took with Donna. “Joe P” retired as a production manager after 40 years in the paper mill industry. He was loved and will be missed by all those who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years; Donna Mock Pittman of DeRidder, LA; sons, Steve Pittman and Tori of DeRidder, LA, Dewey Pittman and  Lori of Alexandria, LA, Danny Strange and  Diana of Cookeville, TN, Richard Strange and Violet of Hamburg, AR; daughters, Marian Davis and Barry of DeRidder, LA, Kayla Knowles of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Jerry Pittman and Ruth and Jimmy Dale Pittman, all of Jennings, FL; sisters, Rose Lee Selph of Jennings, FL, Peggy Crosby and  John of Echols County, GA, Carol Harvey and David of Jasper, FL; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and a world of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Martin and Bessie Elizabeth Lashley Pittman; brother, James Pittman, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 1:00 PM till time of funeral at 2:00 PM, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Special Speaker Kevin Howard will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Rodney Benson. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
