Johnny Arvel Mcclain

Johnny Arvel McClain, 83, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Johnny served in the United States Navy for 4 years, 3 months, and 13 days from 1956-1960 in the Pacific. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and servant of God.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of thirty-one years, Vickie McClain of DeRidder, LA; son, Johnny McClain, Jr. and Barbara of Roswell, NM; daughters, TrySee Wyche and Audie of Roswell, NM, Joy Lane McClain of Roswell, NM; grandchildren, Lois, Valorie, Christy, Clint, Ruth, Sara; great grandchildren, Charles, Sophia, Joseph, Alexander, Katie, Carter, Avery, Christopher, Sawyer, Kambree; sister-in-law, Karin Hickman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy Loraine McClain;  parents, John Jay and Florence McClain; brothers, Billy Joe McClain, Babe Austin McClain, Paul Homer McClain; sister, Wanda McClain.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Pastor George Lee Glass will officiate the service. Additional services and interment will follow in Roswell, NM.
