John Roy Arnold, Sr., 71, of Shelbyville, TX, passed from this life on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of ten years, Rynia Jeans Arnold of Shelbyville, TX; sons, John Arnold, Jr. of Kentucky, Bradley Arnold of Buna, TX, Jason Arnold of Newton, TX; daughters, Tina Arnold of DeRidder, LA, Asley Levesque and Eric of New Market, MD, Heather Thrasher and Richard of Huxley, TX; stepsons, Johnathan Harris of Silsbee, TX, Curtis Doucet, Jr. and Sabrina of Silsbee, TX, Nathan Doucet of Silsbee, TX; brothers, Robbie Arnold and Tamika of Merryville, LA, Shawn Arnold and Rosalyn of Carlyss, LA, Clarence Arnold of Mena, AR, Jake Arnold of Broken Bow, OK, Charles Arnold of Merryville, LA; sister, Octavia Morrison and Stanley of Junction, LA, Deloris Arnold of Sam Rayburn, TX; fifteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Arnold; parents, C.A. and Katherine Arnold; brother, David Arnold.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Bible Believers Church in Merryville, LA. Brother Jeff Spring will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Brad Arnold, Dalton Armentrout, Glenn Patrick, Bruce Dorland, Billy Billingsly, Curtis Doucet, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Thrasher, Trevor Doucet, Johnathan Harris. Burial will follow at Arnold Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
