John Robert Faulkner

John Robert Faulkner, 64, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, April 8, 2018.

Mr. Faulkner served his country in the United States Army and retired after 22 years of service.  He loved to do yardwork and was a handyman that could fix all kinds of things.  John was a mentor to all that needed his advice. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 34 years, Pamela Faulkner of DeRidder, LA; sons, John Robert Faulkner III and Eddie DeWayne Clemmons of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Sunni Shanai Faulkner of DeRidder, LA; father, John Lee Faulkner of South Boston, VA; mother, Dorothy Mae Robinson of Maryland; sisters, Doris, Jennifer, Lisa of Virginia and Gloria of Maryland.  He also had four grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Sweet Home Baptist Church.  Reverend Alvin Peters will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Sweet Home Baptist Church. Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, LA.
