John Lamar Christopher

December 31, 1929 - January 7, 2016

John Lamar Christopher, 86, of Dry Creek, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at his home.  Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nell Christopher; son, Robert Christopher and wife Lynn; daughter, Kathy Christopher Browning and husband Jerome; 5 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Minnie Christopher; brother, Manley Christopher; and sister, Virginia Holder.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Dry Creek Baptist Church in Dry Creek, LA.  Funeral service is Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2:00pm at Dry Creek Baptist Church.  Rev. Dore Langley and Curt Iles will officiate.  Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Dry Creek.
