Joe James Thompson, 91, of Kingwood, TX, passed from this life on Saturday, October 23, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Debbie Warren and Jack of Kingwood, TX; brother, R.B. Thompson, Jr. and Jari of Manvel, TX; sister, Iva Kennedy of Pearland, TX; grandchildren, Stephanie Evans and James of Kingwood, TX, Matthew James Warren of Fort Worth, TX; great grandchildren, Cooper Warren Evans, Madelyn James Evans and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Thompson; son, Thomas Timothy Thompson; parents, R.B. and Gertie Thompson; sister, Brenda Harmon.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Chad Boone will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
