Jimmy Young Dennis, Sr.

Jimmy Young Dennis, Sr., 73, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Monday, November 25, 2019.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Jimmy Young Dennis, Jr. and Jackie of Land O’ Lakes, FL; grandsons, River Dennis, Noah Dennis, Devin Dennis, and Dylan Dennis, all of Land O’ Lakes, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Verline Dennis; brother Fred Thompson; sister, Joyce Mosley; father, Orville Dennis; mom and stepdad, Mary and Buster Dodd.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Pastor Allen Shird will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.  Burial will follow at Cypress Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
