Jimmy Ray Gill, 78, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Chester Gill of DeRidder, LA, Jeff Gill of Leesville, LA, Ray Gill & Alana of Baytown, TX; daughter, Meshell Taylor of Houston, TX; brothers, Jesse Gill of DeRidder, LA, Donnie Gill of Houston, TX, James Gill of Athens, TX; sisters, Bernice Capuano of Long Beach, MS, Louise Allred of Crosby, TX, Shirley Johnson of Splendora, TX; nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Claudia Gill; brother, Junior Gill; sister, Eloise Gill Burch; grandchildren, James Taylor, Shelby Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bethel Grove Pentecostal Church in Merryville, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 2, 2021, also at Bethel Grove Pentecostal Church in Merryville, LA. Brother Eric Davis and Brother Roy Hoosier will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Cottonwood, LA.
