Jewel D. Smith

Jewel D. Smith, 72, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, December, 11, 2019.

Jewel was an avid quilter and gardener.  Her collection of handmade quilts included nearly 500 of her own creation.  She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Grace church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving spouse of 18 years, Shirley Smith of DeRidder, LA; son, Johnny Kiser and Leslie of Houston, TX; daughter, Gidget Dunlap and Todd of Cleveland, TN; extended family, Kevin Smith, Damon Smith, and Laurie Barrett; grandchildren, Jordan Kiser, Jacob Kiser, Tiffany Dunlap; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Ollie Mae Perry; brother, Marvin Perry and sister, Joann Vignola.

Visitation and funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Grace Church in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will start at 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM. Brother George Lee Glass, Brother Roger Gil and Brother Lynn Clayton will officiate the service.
