Jeremy Vaughn Givens-James,35, of Eunice, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, September 2, 2023.

Jeremy loved his family and friends dearly. He had a smile that lit up the room and to know him was to love him. Jeremy was very competitive and a hard worker. He started working in the family business selling fireworks at the age of five, he worked his way up from busboy to manager at Double D’s restaurant, and he was a certified personal trainer. His hard work paid off with him owning his own real estate business. Jeremy was a true people person who was loved by everyone who knew him and will be missed by all.

Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted and loving husband, Hoby Broc Givens-James of Eunice, LA; mother and father, Debbie and Stanley Charles Hebert of Merryville, LA; brothers, Michael Hebert and Nicole of Merryville, LA, Quentin Hebert and Jessica of DeRidder, LA, Richard Hebert and Tasha of Merryville, LA, Brandon Nichols of Merryville, LA; sisters, Shaunna Peck of Merryville, LA, Tasha Brister and Daniel of Merryville, LA; grandmother, Carol Hebert of Cottonwood, LA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Pam Givens of Eunice, LA; sister-in-law, Heather Givens-Duplechin; grandmother-in-law, Bobbye Jean Givens; fur babies, Kalley Claire and Emma Grace and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Stanley Hebert; grandmother, Elizabeth Irby.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will continue Friday, September 8, 2023 at 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA Brother Roger Longoria will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Michael Hebert, Quentin Hebert, Richard Hebert, Chad Landreneau, Wilson Duplechin, Stephen Douglas-Dupre. Honorary Pallbearers will be Canen Hebert, Blaze Brister.  Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
