Jennifer Louise Schichtel Fuselier

Jennifer Louise Schichtel Fuselier, 85, of Singer, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

“A wife of noble character, who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.” Proverbs 31. Jennifer was a virtuous woman; a woman of prayer. She committed to the Lord’s work whatever He laid on her heart; everything she did was done with intention and a spirit of excellence, without complaint. Jennifer was proud and supportive of her husband’s work in the ministry, serving as a pastor. She enjoyed painting and gifting her artwork to friends and family. Jennifer loved their home and the land surrounding it; she enjoyed nature, feeding the birds and the solitude. She collected many cookbooks and was known to cook recipes from each one. She adored her children and grandchildren. Jennifer was really attached to Tomeeka not only as a daughter, but as a friend. The entire family is grateful for the care she took of Jennifer. She was loved and will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of thirty-three years, Garrett Fuselier of Singer, LA; sons, Michael Atkins and Darla of Austin, TX, Alan Atkins of Hardin, TX, Garrett Fuselier, Jr. of Liberty, TX; daughters, Dorothy Delahoussaye and Toby of Port Barre, LA, Laura Fuselier of Kinder, LA, Tomeeka Lewis of Kinder, LA, Natasha McDaniel and Rocky of Ragley, LA; sisters, Lucia Smith of Dallas, TX, Mary Anne Cowgill of Anchorage, AL; thirty grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Atkins; father, James Schichtel; mother, Rose Thompson; sister, Kathy Erickson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Faith Worship Center in Singer, LA. Pastor Garrett Fuselier and Pastor Garrett Fuselier, Jr. will officiate the service.
