Jeffery Monroe, 66, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

Jeffery Monroe, fondly known as Jeffery “Bodine” Monroe, was born on September 1, 1954 in Pineville, LA. He was born to the proud parents of the late Elmo Monroe and the late Emma D. Monroe-Jefferson. On Wednesday, November 18, 2020, an angel of mercy stopped by Beauregard Memorial Hospital, gave a call and Jeffery answered. He moved from Labor to Reward. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Donald Ray Monroe, Grady Fisher and Elmo Monroe, Jr. Jeffery leaves a permanent imprint of memories and love upon the hearts of his loving companion, Ruthie; father, Bishop Aaron Jefferson; three children, Andrea(Edward) Victorian, Shirley Monroe-Poullard and Jeffery Banks; five grandchildren, KyArecia Citizen, Zanaya Victorian, Archie, John and Marionna Poullard, all of Lake Charles, LA; two sisters, Francis(Fred) Parrott, Naomi(Ronnie)Jackson of DeRidder, LA; one brother, Michael(Renee)Jefferson of Augusta, GA; extended Jefferson family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Michael D. Harris will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Jim Wilson, Ronnie Jackson, Paul Fairley, Terry Walters, Howard Gaston and family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffery Banks, Aaron Jefferson, Micheal Jefferson, Byron Parrott, Elmalcome Monroe, Shoun Monroe and Grady Roberson.
