Janice Kaye Owens Stewart, 74, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Cecil M. Stewart, Jr. of DeRidder, LA; brother, Ronald Owens and Joyce of Houston, TX; sisters, Corliss Turner and Dwight of DeRidder, LA, Sherrie Owens of Modesto, CA; grandchildren, Justin Derouselle and Sydnie, Elijah Stewart, Cecil M. Stewart, III; great grandchildren, Ryder Wayde Derouselle, Rylee Rae Derouselle, Niyarii A. Stewart; sisters-in-law, Dorothy M. Stewart of DeRidder, LA, Dell Stewart Bailey, Gloria Taylor, Loretta Stewart;  daughter-in-law, Qiani Chavis of Killeen, TX; mother of Elijah, Rosie Smith of Conroe, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil M. Stewart, Sr.; son, Wayne Sims; grandson, Wayde Sims; great grandson, Caylix; parents, Eugene and Juanita Owens; brother, Belton Owens; sisters, Patricia Ray, JoAnn Owens.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Ronald G. Jarden and Pastor Carl Ray Cotwright will officiate the service.
