James Milton Eaves, Sr.

James Milton Eaves, Sr., 87, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, James Eaves, Jr. and Amy of DeRidder, LA, Darrell Eaves and Bonnie of Merryville, LA, Michael Eaves and Lynne of Anderson, SC;  grandchildren, Timothy Eaves and Anya of Moss Bluff, LA, Victoria Anderson and Chris of Johnson City, TN, Sam Eaves of Greenville, SC, Ben Eaves of Denver, CO, Ashley Sonnier and Nicholas of Denver, CO, Cody Eaves and Delaney of St. Martinville, LA; great grandchildren, Kassandra Anderson of Johnson City, TN, Tidus Eaves of Moss Bluff, LA, Bruce Eaves of Moss Bluff, LA, Teddy James Eaves of St. Martinville, LA, Georgia Eaves(Arriving in April); seven step grandchildren; sixteen step great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and a bounty of friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Eaves; daughter-in-law, Sharon Eaves; parents, James and Georgia Eaves; brother, Edsel Eaves; sisters, Elsie Smith, Muriel Thornton.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 PM at Merryville United Methodist Church in Merryville, LA. Pastor Alexandria Geovanni will officiate the service. Inurnment will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
