James "Jimmy" Young

James “Jimmy” Young, 68, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, January 24, 2019.

Jimmy was born to Jean Kitrell and JL Young on July 22, 1950. He was the first of six children, with five sisters, Cathy, Juanita, Earline and Linda.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his seven children; Steven L. Young, Jamie Young, Bethany Young, Matthew Young, Mark Young, Jeanessa Young Simpson and Dillion Young; ten grandchildren, Kayla, Cherie, Isabella, Lana, Kodie, Lester, Hunter, Kylie, Madighan and Nathan; four great grandchildren, Woods, Lawton, Brent and Aubree; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Kitrell and JL Young; sister, Violet Young.

Celebration of Life with family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church in Dry Creek, LA.  Burying of remains will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Dry Creek, LA.
