James "Jamie" Aswell

September 10, 1970 - April 28, 2016

James Block “Jamie” Aswell, 45, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, April 28, 2016.  Jamie enjoyed fishing and golfing with his son.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angela Aswell; son, Jayden Aswell both of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Wanda Smith and Cathy Aswell, both of Ferriday, LA; niece, Brandy Hawley and husband Eric of Ferriday, LA; great nieces, Skylar, Makenzy, and Harper.  He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Catherine Aswell; nephew and best friend, Eric Smith.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral service will be Monday, May 2, 2016 at 10:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder.
