James Cleveland Singletary, Jr.

James Cleveland Singletary, Jr., 62, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, James C. and Patricia O. Singletary, Sr. of Merryville, LA; brother, John A. Singletary and Deborah of Merryville, LA; nieces, Sarah Marquez & Angelo of Oklahoma and Marley Wisnoski of Texas; great nephews, Roman Marquez of Oklahoma and Owen Wisnoski of Texas; special uncle, James M. O'Reilly; close friends, Herman and Regina Hall of Rosepine, LA; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Continuing visitation and service will be held Monday, January 22, 2018, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jerry Key.  Burial will follow at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.

He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Shriners Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
